Background: Hypophosphatemic rickets commonly presents in early childhood as inherited disorders. Acquired hypophosphatemic rickets or osteomalacia is a rare condition in children caused by paraneoplastic production of phosphaturic factor or FGF23 and is called tumor-induced rickets or osteomalacia.
